2018 was a landmark year for SPF Academy, not only in terms of our personal growth but also in expanding our global footprint in the world of football. Here’s a retrospective look at some of the pivotal moments and achievements from that year.

A Year of Firsts:

  • Trofeo Escoles Valencia CF: 2018 marked our debut as tournament promoters with the first edition of the Trofeo Escoles Valencia CF for young talents aged 6 to 8. This event brought together forty teams from the Valencia CF Academy, hosted at the Valencia CF training complex, spotlighting budding football stars.
  • Vila del Puig Women’s Tournament: Our first women’s tournament covered three age groups, starting from 8 years old. This tournament was not only a celebration of emerging female talent but also a platform for important discussions on the future of women’s football, with participation from notable figures from FIFA and La Liga.

International Collaborations and Visits:

  • Regional Sports from Abu Dhabi: We were honored to host Regional Sports, one of the leading academies from the UAE. Their visit underscored our academy’s appeal as a premier training destination in Europe.
  • Al-Ain FC: Fresh off their success as the last FIFA Clubs World Cup Vice-Champions, Al-Ain FC chose SPF Academy for the pre-season training of their U14 and U16 squads, highlighting our academy’s capability to cater to elite youth development.
  • Global Guests: Our academy welcomed teams and academies from across the globe, including Winners Football Center from Bahrain, the UAE women’s national team, the UK’s “Everything is Possible” association, and Premier Football Academy from South Africa, enriching our cultural and sporting exchange.

Ongoing Growth and Future Aspirations:

As we continue to nurture talents from the USA, Indonesia, Korea, China, Egypt, India, Colombia, Singapore, and more, our goal for 2019 and beyond is to see all our academy players achieving their dreams. Our commitment to fostering top-tier talent remains unwavering, and we are excited for what the future holds.
