The relevance of women in football has been rising rapidly, with growing public interest over the last few years. As one of the main “soccer countries,” Spain is playing a key role in this phenomenon. Now, a new women's tournament is set to become a major reference point in Spanish football.

The tournament, named the "1st Women’s Soccer Tournament – SPF Villa de El Puig," is promoted by Spain Rush-SPF. One of the distinguishing features of this event is the inclusion of various complementary activities beyond the matches themselves.

A special highlight is the Discussion Panel scheduled for March 22nd at 19:00 in the Culture House of El Puig. This panel will feature prominent figures in women’s football across Europe, including:

  • Pedro Zamora (Sports journalist, COPE Radio)
  • Martina Olivas (Director, La Liga Women)
  • Pedro Malabia (Competition Manager, FIFA Women)
  • Quino García (Coach, Levante UD Women)
  • Jesús Oliva (Coach, Valencia CF Women)

This engaging event highlights the increasing importance of women's soccer in Spain.

Tournament Format:

In terms of sports competition, the tournament will include four categories: U11, U13, U15, and Amateur. Each team will play a minimum of five matches, with a structure that includes three group stage matches, two semifinals, and the final.

Top women's teams like Valencia CF, Levante UD, UD Aldaia CF, and Mislata CF have already confirmed their participation. This ensures a high level of competition and promises an exciting addition to the women's football season.
