UD Alzira enforce their squad with the SPF Academy player Thomas Elgawly

September 27, 2018

After a year enrolled in Spanish Pro Football Academy, the Egyptian player Thomas Elgawly received an offer for the Spanish semiprofessional team Alzira FC.

The team is competing in Tercera Division , region Comunidad Valenciana, one of the hardest regions for this tier in Spain. These minor leagues are usually the hunting field for the professional teams searching for players for their filial-clubs, some of them are affiliated teams of La Liga Santander teams with a continuous scouting program.

Thomas is a twenty years old player original from Egypt. He plays in the forward with several roles in the front like striker or left-right forward. He came to Spain in the 2017-18 season to upgrade his football level up to the Spanish standard.

Over this period he developed the full professional player program including double training session; doing specific training in the mornings with the rest of the players of the Spanish Pro Football Academy program and being integrated into a Preferente´ s team in the afternoon. That helped Thomas to acquire a full understanding of the Spanish style of play and the intensity of the Spanish football comparing his previous football level.

This year Thomas is fully integrated into the UD Alzira squad where will be managed by the coach with complete responsibility of their performances in the training and the matches to be in the line up every weekend as a professional football player has to manage in his professional football life.

For the moment he was in the lineup with a great performance against Novelda CF . We are really sure he will have an incredible season 2018-2019 in UD Alzira.
